MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
The 27th Annual Meeting of the Southern California Vascular Surgery Society is coming up soon, May 1-3, 2009 at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and I would like to invite all Southern California vascular surgeons and their guests to begin planning to attend the meeting.
The meeting will be held in one of the most beautiful resorts in the Western US, the St Regis Monarch Beach Resort, a five-star destination resort, on the beach, in Dana Point California. We were able to secure the venue for less than ½ of the usual rack rate.
We have made changes the program in response to your suggestions, and will have an exceptional two day meeting with many full length papers and a few case reports. In addition, we have two visiting speakers; Anthony N. Sidawy, who will talk about the relationship between diabetes and vascular disease, and Michael S. Conte who will discuss the evidence-based approach management of the patient with critical limb ischemia and give an overview of what we have learned regarding
lower extremity bypass surgery in 2009. Both are internationally recognized experts in their fields and should make the meeting lively and interesting.
As usual, we will have social and athletic events in the afternoons and evenings, including a Welcome Reception on Friday, the Annual Banquet on Saturday evening, and the SCVSS Golf Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
You will not only participate in a very high quality meeting in a beautiful venue, but also receive CME credits at a very reasonable rate. Begin making plans to attend the meeting.
