MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Members and Colleagues:
The 28th Annual Meeting of the Southern California Vascular Surgery Society is coming up soon, April 30-May 2, 2010 at the Four Seasons Aviara Resort in North San Diego County and I would like to invite all Southern California vascular surgeons and their guests to begin planning to attend the meeting.
The Four Seasons Aviara Resort is a noted for being a both elegant and family friendly resort. Is it located on the border of a wildlife preserve, and features golf, tennis, adult and family pools. The Resort features both first class and informal restaurants. Nature hikes, and sessions wildlife docents are available. The Aviara offers a beach butler service for those wishing to visit the nearby beaches. Childcare amenities include game rooms, day care, and (when requested) child-proofed accommodations. Our room rate for the Society is well below commercial rates. The Resort has graciously offered reduced parking rates and complimentary in-room WI FI access. I anticipate this will be a very high quality meeting in a beautiful venue.
The program will be an exceptional two day meeting with many full length papers and a few case reports and invited speakers. As usual, we will have social and athletic events in the afternoons and evenings, including a Welcome Reception on Friday, the Annual Banquet on Saturday evening, and the SCVSS Golf Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
The Call for Abstracts has been mailed. Please submit your abstracts by February 1, 2010. We will also receive CME credits at a very reasonable rate. I urge all to begin making plans to attend the meeting.
